For the past fifteen years, Fondation Hirondelle, a Swiss NGO founded by journalists has created vital media operations in some of the world’s most isolated, under-developed and vulnerable regions. Fondation Hirondelle establishes and manages independent media in Africa and other crisis areas, helping to foster reconstruction, peace building and responsible citizenship by offering credible and impartial news and information. Hirondelle media bridges the information gap that is common in crisis and post-conflict situations, allowing the delivery of important information to communities they serve. Millions of listeners are then able to participate in their own country’s transformation. Hirondelle USA (HUSA) was launched in 2009 to support the work of Fondation Hirondelle and its media.

We worked with the Hirondelle USA team to create a new website that would raise awareness of their mission and work while helping them to more easily accept donations online. Our team worked under a tight deadline to turn around the website in about a week. To prepare ourselves for this sprint, our team met closely to discuss timeline and meticulously plan out daily deadlines and milestones. While design was still being finalized, we had already moved on to development and the setup of WordPress. We’re proud to have helped such a great organization gain a new web presence.
