Project Roundup: Columbia College Alumni Association & Urban Soil

Tags:

For this edition of Project Roundup, we’re featuring recent work for the Columbia College Alumni Association, the alumni organization of Columbia University’s undergraduate school Columbia College, and Urban Soil, a startup that makes it easy for businesses to buy wholesale produce.

Columbia College Alumni Association

We recently helped the Columbia College Alumni Association roll out their new brand identity by working on two projects: the redesign of the CCAA newsletters and a short video celebrating the launch of the new brand.

Columbia College Alumni Association Newsletter designs
We designed and developed a series of responsive newsletters for CCAA.

We created a flexible set of newsletter templates that could be used by the CCAA team to send out newsletters to alumni about upcoming events, alumni news, and other Columbia announcements. We also developed the templates to be responsive.

These are some of the stills from our video for the CCAA’s new brand launch.

Working with archival photographs, we created a video that takes the viewer through the history of the lion as an important Columbia symbol. The video was featured on the CCAA website as part of the unveiling campaign (learn more here).

Urban Soil

Urban Soil is a startup that makes it easy for small businesses to order quality wholesale produce online. We worked with Urban Soil to design and build a platform where businesses can sign up, browse a wide selection of produce, and place orders for next day delivery.

The Urban Soil homepage
We designed the Urban Soil homepage to clearly outline its benefits as a service to small businesses.

At the core of Urban Soil is an easy-to-browse shopping experience for a wide selection of produce.

Urban Soil is built on Ruby on Rails. We are currently assisting with their beta testing phase. They plan to roll out their service to small businesses (supermarkets, restaurants, caterers, etc.) in the Greater New York City market.
